Shipping
How do you ship my order?
We package all chocolate products securely, and use recycled packing materials where possible! We always recommend faster shipping to ensure freshness and minimize risk of damage in transit, however, we understand there is a greater cost to ship express and therefore leave it to you to choose which method you'd prefer. **In the warmer months - May through September - if you choose a shipping method other than express we cannot guarantee the quality of the product as it may be in transit longer than recommended.** In the cooler months, October through April, you can choose whether you'd like standard or express shipping.

We cannot be held responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to wrong address or missing information. We also highly recommend that someone be home to accept the package or it be shipped to a workplace environment. We will not be held responsible for delays caused by weather, mechanical failure or other acts beyond our control.

When do you ship?
All orders received in our system Monday through Wednesday are generally shipped within 24 hours of being placed unless otherwise specified. During busy holiday times, orders may take up to 5 days to process.

Orders placed and received in our system after 10AM on Wednesday through Sunday are processed in the order in which they are received and will generally ship out between Monday and Wednesday of the following week, depending on order volume. During busy holiday times, orders may take up to 5 days to process.

Orders shipped via regular shipping to Canadian destinations and 3 day express to US destinations are generally shipped Monday through Wednesday. Orders shipped via Canadian express delivery and US overnight delivery generally ship Monday through Thursday.

Due to the perishability and delicate nature or our products, we try to avoid shipping packages over the weekend, where they would sit in a warehouse. If you would like your orders shipped on a Thursday or Friday please use the contact us form and refer to your order number. Please keep in mind if you choose overnight shipping for a Friday, the package will not arrive until Monday, and if you choose 3 day for a Thursday or Friday, it will not arrive until the next Tuesday or Wednesday.

Please be aware that by choosing to ship over a weekend, you are assuming responsibility for the integrity of the package as it will be in transit longer than recommended. sarandipity will not be responsible for temperature damage to packages shipped over a weekend.

When will I receive my order?
National (Canadian) shipments arrive within 3-5 days
National (Canadian) express shipments arrive by 12 the next day
US ground shipments can take up to 7 business days
US express shipments arrive within 3 days
US overnight shipments arrive by end of next business day
International shipments will vary by destination, but standard shipping is 6-10 business days and express is 3 days. Overnight is available by request, please contact us for more information.

Please note that if you are shipping to a "remote" or non-metro area in Canada, regular national shipping may take up to 7 days. To all customers: If you need guaranteed arrival by a certain date please choose express shipping or contact us so we can work with you to ensure your order arrives in time!

Allergens
What allergens do your products contain?
sarandipity chocolates frequently contain dairy or traces of milk protein and may contain nuts/peanuts or traces of nuts/peanuts. All our chocolate contains soy lecithin. The key lime pie truffle and the s'mores contain wheat. None of our products contain alcohol.

What if I'm allergic to nuts - can I have the chocolates that don't contain nuts?
No. All our chocolates are processed in the same facility. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that there will not be traces of nuts in any or all of the products. Unfortunately, if you have a severe nut allergy we recommend that you not order our products.

Care and handling
How long will my chocolates stay fresh?
sarandipity truffles are best enjoyed within two weeks. Our bars, turtles, and s'mores are best enjoyed within four to six months. Our bark, cho-co pops and unopened sauces are good for up to a year.

How should I store my chocolates?
sarandipity chocolates should be stored in a cool, dry place. An air-conditioned room is ideal. If you must refrigerate our chocolate to extend its life, allow the truffles to warm gradually before eating. Refrigeration can often mask the chocolate's flavor and the texture is less than perfect. Bringing the chocolate to room temperature from refrigeration can also effect the chocolates' outward appearance. Freezing is also possible, though not recommended.
